UD Las Palmas secured their second draw of the preseason on Thursday, this time against Granada (1-1). After previous positive displays against Como and Al Sadd, the match appeared to be headed for a favorable result, thanks to a goal by Iván Cédric. However, Granada managed to equalize with a goal from Faye just 2 minutes before the end.

The yellow team's third appearance at Marbella Football Center was intense and ambitious. In the first 8 minutes, Luis Carrión’s players had at least two clear chances to take the lead. First, Pejiño’s shot from outside the box hit the post, and later Marvin Park missed a deep pass from Moleiro.

The goal came in the 17th minute, thanks to Iván Cédric’s persistence. The play started with a defensive pass to goalkeeper Martínez, who cleared the ball near the goal line. Cédric managed to intercept and score.

A new opportunity came in the 24th minute from the right wing, with a pass from Moleiro, a run, and a cross from Marvin Park, but the ball missed Cédric by inches.

Las Palmas played with simple, vertical football at times. Before halftime, Marc Martínez made a crucial save from a Javi Muñoz shot. The play began on the left, with an initial cross that Cédric couldn’t fully capitalize on. Cédric appealed for a penalty, claiming he was pushed, but it was not awarded.

During the break, Luis Carrión made a complete change of the yellow team’s lineup. This did not alter the flow of the game, which remained under Las Palmas’ control.

The second half saw fewer scoring chances. Weissman’s long-range shot caused some concern for Horkas and was the most threatening opportunity for the Andalusian side.

The 1-0 lead remained despite Las Palmas' continued dominance. The best chance for a 2-0 came from Sandro Ramírez in the 79th minute, who had a strong shot saved by Luca Zidane.

But with just 2 minutes left, Granada converted their second shot into a goal, with a header from Faye out of Dinko Horkas’s reach.

The match ended with a disputed call for a possible penalty on Jaime Mata, which was also not awarded.
