Jaime Mata: "I'm eager to continue growing and improving as a player and to contribute everything I can to the team"

Jaime Mata was introduced this Monday at the Ciudad Deportiva as the new forward for UD Las Palmas. After completing the first week of preparation at the yellow team's facilities, Jaime Mata stated, "We had a very good first week of adaptation, we are getting to know and adjust to each other."

Regarding his move to UD Las Palmas, he said, "I had been at Getafe for quite a while and came here with a strong desire to face new challenges and a new destination."

"I think I can bring experience, enthusiasm, and hard work. I am a player who puts in a lot of effort, and that’s what I’m here to give: to ensure the team is always performing well, fighting until the last minute, and never giving up."

"We all come with maximum enthusiasm and commitment. The new players are very hungry, and those of us with more experience are even more eager to continue contributing. We all want to make Las Palmas a better team." 

"Las Palmas had a fantastic season, and that speaks volumes about the group. I am a team player, and I hope that I, along with the new and existing players, will be the ones to score the goals."

"Training is great, but what we love is competing, and in Marbella, we will have the first opportunities to do so."

"Leaving home again is always difficult, but it also has that motivating aspect of facing new challenges. I’m here to contribute everything I can to the team."
