UD Las Palmas continues to expand its business ventures beyond football with the launch of PÍO PÍO beers, offering three varieties: Special Lager Beer, Non-Alcoholic Toasted Beer, and Orange Beer.

PÍO PÍO beers make their debut with a mission to be enjoyed by all Canarians. The club has meticulously crafted each product, ensuring it is 100% local, produced with traditional methods, and free from industrial filtering processes, preserving all the benefits of genuine natural beer.

Combining water from La Palma with carefully selected malts (Pilsen as the base, Munich and Cara Blond), and hops (Perle and Saaz), along with Lager yeast, this beer promises to be a favorite for gatherings, whether with friends or in any setting.

Discover the three varieties of PÍO PÍO beers:

PÍO PÍO Special Beer: Crafted using traditional methods, our Master Brewer selects the finest ingredients to create a high-quality, natural beer with 5.5% ABV.

PÍO PÍO Non-Alcoholic Toasted Beer: Ideal for beer lovers who want to enjoy a beer at any time, this variety has 0.9% ABV.

PÍO PÍO Orange Beer: A blend of our PÍO PÍO Special Beer with orange, designed for those who enjoy a truly refreshing taste, with 2.5% ABV.

Gran Canaria Stadium Hosts PÍO PÍO Beer Launch Event

The presentation of PÍO PÍO beers took place on Wednesday at Gran Canaria Stadium, attended by over 300 guests. The event, hosted by the club’s president Miguel Ángel Ramírez, included directors, coaching staff, players, employees, and partners who experienced the three new varieties firsthand, embodying loyalty, Canarian pride, and a love for local traditions.

Miguel Ángel Ramírez: "A Historic Day for UD Las Palmas"

Club president Miguel Ángel Ramírez, accompanied by master of ceremonies Daniel Calero and brand ambassador comedian Kike Pérez, expressed his excitement, calling it "a historic and significant day for UD Las Palmas."

Ramírez noted the historical connection between the club and a beer brand, highlighting that the commercial benefits were not retained locally when the brand was taken over by multinational companies. He explained that after some time, he felt it was time for the club to create its own beer and praised Félix Pérez Gutiérrez for his work on the project.

Regarding the production process, Ramírez explained that the club sourced the best water from La Palma and emphasized the project's international aspirations, aiming to expand beyond the Canary Islands.

"PÍO PÍO will provide UD Las Palmas with a sponsorship of €500,000 for this first season. We cannot manage the club based on match results alone; we need to turn UD Las Palmas into a major enterprise capable of generating resources," he concluded.
