UD Las Palmas returns from their first away trip with a 2-1 loss to CD Leganés. The team displayed two different performances in the match at Butarque. In the first half, they were dominant and had several chances to take the lead. However, in the second half, Leganés scored both their goals.
Sandro Ramírez netted his second goal of the season in the final moments. He nearly equalized in stoppage time, but his powerful shot was saved by Soriano.

The situation could have worsened at the start of the second half. The referee awarded a penalty for a challenge by Sandro on Oscar in the visitors' area. Las Palmas could not replicate the strong performance from the first half in the second period. Additionally, they conceded two goals that made the final part of the match very difficult. A long-range shot from Juan Cruz and a counterattack finished by Franquesa put Leganés ahead 2-0.
Sandro, with a pass from McBurnie, reduced the deficit to 2-1. However, the yellow goal proved insufficient despite the players’ efforts to at least secure a draw.
