UD Las Palmas returns from San Sebastián with a 2-0 deficit in a match where García Pimienta's players did not match the chances they had, especially in the first 45 minutes.

The sensations at the end of the first half were torturous for the Gran Canaria team. Because they had been deeper in the game than their opponent, but the goals that went on the scoreboard fell on the side of Real Sociedad. Las Palmas had planned a game on equal terms with the San Sebastián team, had taken many initiatives in the game, but failed to consolidate them in the score.

The local goalkeeper Remiro was the first to intervene in the match. In the 16th minute, Perrone sent a shot to the base of the local post, but the Real Sociedad goalkeeper prevented the island team's goal by placing his glove in time.

In the 17th minute, some UD players appealed to the referee for holding and bringing down Coco in the penalty area. The Lanzarote defender went for a corner kick but failed to make contact with the ball as he was held by Le Normand. Involuntarily, that moment recalled what had happened a week earlier against Girona, with a penalty awarded to Kirian and the intervention of VAR.

Las Palmas had evolved in the match, and their sensations were improving every minute accumulated. But the Real's first strike dismantled those moments of optimism. In a move by Becker on the right, the ball arrived in the area where a small scramble formed between the striker Oyarzábal and the defenders. Finally, the ball touched Suárez's leg, unfortunately finding its way into the visitors' net.

The 1-0 was an unexpected setback because the game didn't seem to be heading in that direction. Nevertheless, Las Palmas again generated two optimal chances to equalize. In the 36th minute, Benito Ramírez struck a shot that went alongside the post. And in the 43rd minute, it was Marvin Park, after a deep pass from Moleiro, who penetrated into the area and also managed to finish his attack. The ball lightly touched Remiro's glove, just enough to prevent the 1-1.

But football is all about goals. And Becker, with a move into the heart of the penalty area, fired a bullet seemingly without an angle that once again ended up in Álvaro Valles' net. The 2-0 before halftime was a psychological blow.

The second half had little story. Although in the 49th minute, VAR intervened to signal an offside position by the Real player Pacheco, who had scored with a header after a corner.

The match lost momentum and risky situations compared to the first half. Moleiro had the best chance for the visitors but failed to make contact with Sergi's pass in front of goal.

The 2-0 remained unchanged until the final whistle.
