Las Palmas Gets Three Golden Points in Almería (1-2)

UD Las Palmas achieved an essential away victory (1-2) against a direct rival in the quest for remaining in the league. Garcia Pimienta's squad secured the three points in a match that indicates a settling point within the mid-table region. Munir and Sory Kaba marked their first goals for the Gran Canarian team. The Moroccan made it 0-1 in the first half following a move and an assist from Marvin Park. The Guinean player sealed the win in extra time, smashing home a loose ball in the box.

The 1-2 result in Almería represents a significant morale boost ahead of the upcoming Copa match in Manacor, the first knockout round.

Las Palmas entered the game with the aim of steering the course of events from the outset. The islanders swiftly claimed possession, and one of their early combinations almost succeeded in the 8th minute. The ball reached Marc Cardona, whose left-footed shot was caught by goalkeeper Fernando.

Kirian led the operations against a rival perhaps awaiting their chance. However, the danger persisted from the visitors. Another deep move from Las Palmas took Sergi Cardona into the area with a cross that the local defense managed to thwart when searching for a yellow-shirted finisher.

Garcia Pimienta's squad maintained symmetry in their actions. Subsequent Gran Canarian attacks loaded from the right with Marvin Park as the focal point. The Balearic winger ventured to the heart of the area in the 21st minute, and goalkeeper Fernando, at the last moment, blocked a pass intended for Marc Cardona. But a minute later, Park replicated the play, and Munir, alert at the near post, placed the ball into the net for a 0-1 lead.

The task wasn't over for Fernando. Again, the experienced goalkeeper of the Andalusian team made a glove save, redirecting a shot-cross from Kirian destined for the top corner, to a corner.

Las Palmas had achieved their initial objectives in the match: control the game and take the lead. The completion was left for the second half. Almería then elevated their performances, and after a phase of local dominance, Ramazani managed to equalize in the 72nd minute after a solo effort.

The yellows regained their foothold in the match in the closing stages, recovering the sense of possession against a motivated opponent. In the 85th minute, Moleiro could have scored after several attempts. The Tenerife native fired a low shot, but the ball narrowly missed the right post of Fernando.
